We were delighted to celebrate our oldest with a Pirate Princess Birthday Party at a soft play indoor play area.
Thanksgiving
This was our second Thanksgiving abroad (first one was Australia in 2006), so we knew that having the food and friends who we consider family was important to make us feel as much like home as possible ;-) Therefore, we did just that! We ate turkey, with all the trimmings, and the girls even helped make a veggie tray turkey :-)
This year has also been my first year to experience a true autumn and wow- I loved it. The weather was so nice, the colors of the trees would take my breath away at times-simply gorgeous!
Christmas time in the UK
We love this time of year!!! Celebrating the birth of Savior, Jesus, lots of fun family memories are also created through our advent calendar, decorating the tree together and putting out other Christmas decor (the girls love this part), and of course going around looking at Christmas lights and drinking hot chocolate.
We started our Christmas celebrations with our little area and their town center Christmas tree lighting with our good friends.
We then took a vintage bus tour with our good friends all around London to see the Christmas lights. We love this family!
We also took the girls to several Christmas market's, Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland and we even took them to meet Santa at one of them. Of course, we had to get the infamous kid crying on Santa's lap pic. Poor B- she did great until we tried to sit her on Santa's lap. *please excuse the picture quality of the family with Santa- it is a picture of a picture.
We also were blessed to celebrate countless friends birthday's (a couple pictures below), Christmas through recitals, school parties and plays. We had such a memorable time preparing for our King's birth this year!!!
