Labor Day Weekend

FINALLY we got to go back to the Lakehouse and down south for that matter to see my family... we have not been there since May! Our summer has been so busy that Labor Day weekend was the first chance we got.

So here was our weekend summed up...
Jeremy buried our niece in the sand.

All the kids LOVED the beach and playing on the sand and running to the water, and and then running back trying to beat the waves. So much FUN!

K loved the sand so much that she tried eating it several times... YUCK!

I LOVED my first trip to the beach Daddy, thank you!!!!

Lessons J&I learned about going to the beach with 3 little ones..
1. Apply sunscreen to ourselves BEFORE we get there! We did with the kids, and once we were there the kids were out and there was NO time for us to apply sunscreen... and well, I got a sunburn :-( It was not too bad, but some red shoulders and a red back. Lesson learned though!
2. Taking a baby to the beach is not the greatest idea since her favorite thing to do is to find the smallest bit of dirt on the floor and put it in her mouth, so you can imagine how hard it was trying to keep the sand out of her mouth!
3. Know what to say to a 4 (almost 5) year old that does not want to leave the beach...
Well... we learned lots more, but those were our top three :-)

Back to our weekend...

We also got to swim in my brother's pool. Kaytlin loves one of her bath toys that is a crab, and her G-Pa just so happened to have a crab floatie. SHE LOVED it!!!

Our niece was such an amazing swimmer... we are so proud of her. She can swim under water, on her back, and do tons of tricks :-)

We also got to see lots of wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Check out the moon one night. OH... such good times to sit, think, pray, and admire God's amazing creations!
